CUTTING BOARD OIL, 8oz Bottle
Walrus Oil is a proprietary wood finish recipe made up of Coconut Oil, Mineral Oil, Vitamin E, and Beeswax, FDA compliant for food contact surfaces such as cutting boards and butcher blocks. Walrus Oil is a liquid form and does not solidify under normal conditions, its highly shelf stable and has virtually no scent. It goes on smooth, not too thick and not to thin, and won't contaminate food with a strange taste. It will leave your board with a silky smooth finish, rich color, and a little shine. Use two coats for more depth and color.
WOOD WAX, 3oz Can
Our Wood Wax is very dense and a pinch goes a long way. Handcrafted with Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Mineral Oil, and Vitamin E. It can be used as a standalone product or after applying a layer of our Cutting Board Oil. Wood Wax will add extra protection from water and moisture while bringing out more vivid wood color and shine. Simply apply a thin layer of wax, dry for 15 minutes, then buff with a rag.

The finish that the best woodworkers use
When I started making cutting boards, I used a simple food safe mineral oil and the most readily available was Howard's, certainly a good product. As I viewed many Instagram posts of my fellow woodworkers using Walrus Oil, I wondered if it was that much better. They seemed very happy with it but it is about 50% more expensive than Howard's. So I tried it and was certainly impressed. The coverage, luster and finish it gave was the perfect compliment to my boards. After all, I put a lot of money and time into each board and the finishing oil is not the place I want to pinch pennies. I'm not a production cutting board house. I don't make my living making them. I'm more of a low volume, "craft beer" shop. My boards are worth Walrus Cutting Board Oil and the finishing wax and I will continue using it to make by boards more remarkable.
I have tried many products but this is the best one by far. The boards are not greasy once buffed. Nice rich color.
Really brings out the beauty and grain of the wood. After the oil set in I used a coat of Wood Wax. Goes on nice and smooth and creates a beautiful finish. This is my new go to cutting board oil. Only thing that slightly disappointed me was I didn't receive the No Walrus Harmed sticker that I've gotten in previous orders.
