More Product Details
Made from a variety of Safflower Oil that has historically been used as a major component in floor sealers, varnishes, and paints. Our Safflower Oil contains the highest concentration of linoleic acids in plant oils and a high iodine number, allowing the oil to polymerize (double bond) when it comes into contact with oxygen when applied to wood. The addition of Hemp Seed Oil speeds up drying time and adds to the overall durability as it triple bonds to a hard surface. Our Furniture Finish is 100% Plant-Based, biodegradable, and contains no harmful additives or accelerators. We recommend using one coat of oil and only applying additional coats after it's dry to touch (24 hours). Shelf stable when properly stored and used by expiration date.
Best stuff for all wood projects!!
New favorite finish
I mostly make furniture and have been experimenting with finishes for a while. I used walrus oil on a recently finished maple chair. It went on easy and turned out beautiful! I am excited to try the new batch with hemp oil for a slightly quicker dry time
Best finish ever
I’ve been seeing some hype from people who use Walrus Oil for awhile. Decided to pull the trigger and get some for myself. I’ve used finishes a lot and this is bar none the best I’ve used so far. Definitely a repeat customer.
Best Furniture finish!!
I tried a few different brands of “easy” to use, natural furniture finishes. NONE of them compared to the ease of use as Walrus Oil! And the finish from Walrus Oil was by FAR the best of them!!!
Great for all projects
Don’t be alarmed by the name- this oil is great for all projects from cutting boards, turned bowls, to shelves. I personally used to use linseed oil on my turned bowls for its polymerizing qualities, but since trying this oil it’s my new go to. It has no smell or taste which is a huge plus for me- a lot of customers complain about this with linseed oil. I encourage everyone to give this finishing oil a try, the price is super affordable compared to most finishes, and I think you’ll be stoked on the results.
