It also can be used after our Furniture Finish or before our Furniture Wax. Use on hardwoods that are sanded between 220 - 400 grit. The lower the grit, the deeper the oil will soak. The higher the grit, the smoother the wood will feel. To prevent raised grain, always use the "sand, wet, sand" method. Apply thin layer of oil until entire surface is covered. Wipe away excess after 24 hrs. Repeat until desired number of coats and look is achieved. After final coat, allow 24 - 48 hrs for surface to become dry to touch. May take up to 1 week to be completely dry to touch and up to 4 weeks to be completely cured. While curing, it's ideal for the wood piece to be kept in a temperature controlled environment. Humidity and high heat can prolong cure time. Keep liquids off surface for up to 4 weeks.
For best results use by expiration date on bottle. Store at room temperature or in a cool and dry place. Keep bottle sealed when not in use.
First time use
It has worked out great and I enjoyed using it.
Smells absolutely mouth watering (don’t eat it though) and works WONDERS on hickory axe handles
Just simply great
I made a set of coaster and used the furniture butter for the finish. Couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome finish and the ease of use. Thanks Walrus Oil!!!
I must be the only one that thinks this product is way over rated. The finish is very dull, very little sheen. I like a little sheen…a satin look. Even after the furniture wax it still looks dull to me. I prefer thinned shellac with a simple, inexpensive, wood wax, buffed out to a nice satin, smooth finish, I bought the Butter and the Wax…and I think it looks dull. I wonder if this review will make it past the editors, as it seems to good yo be true to see all the great reviews.
Great product. Would definitely recommend for any item where you want to apply a rub on finish.
