NSF Certifications
NSF International certifies to two standards that meet different sets of health requirements for materials in contact with food. NSF establishes minimum public health and sanitation requirements for materials used in the construction of commercial food equipment. The requirements are based on U.S. FDA regulations.

FDA "Generally Regarded As Safe" Documents
Generally recognized as safe (GRAS) is a United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) designation that a chemical or substance added to food is considered safe by experts under the conditions of its intended use.

Additional Ingredient Safety
Walrus Oil does not directly use phthalate or "forever chemical" ingredients in our product manufacturing. For transparency, we also list every ingredient used in our product manufacturing on our product labels. 

Container Safety
Every container, whether metal or plastic, used in the manufacturing of Walrus Oil products are verified by our suppliers as non-toxic and safe for food contact. None of our plastic containers are made with flame retardants or recycled plastics containing flame retardants or related chemicals. Our containers are also BPA-Free and Phthalate-Free.
